Counting Moon Craters: Amateurs, Scientists Do Equally Well

Volunteers with no astronomy experience can pick out craters on the moon as accurately as a researcher with five to 50 years' experience, a new study reports. The finding could give a further boost to the use of citizen scientists in research projects.
